Post #6 New friends in America

I have been here in the US for two months. At this time I made a lot of new friends. I will talk about them here. I put a photo below showing one of the days that we went to celebrate Gar's birthday. However, it was not all my friends that could attend this event. The majority of them are Brazilian because my English is not so good. However, I made some new good friends that do not speak Portuguese like Noah, Francesco, Sam, Tino, Inigo, Dillon, Rocco, and other guys from the soccer team.

I am still learning a lot of words here and how the American culture is so different! For me, the hardest part is the slang. Sometimes they speak so fast and with a lot of slang that I cannot understand everything. I can speak a little bit of Spanish. However, for me is easier to talk in English.

I liked this photo because it was a nice day with my new friends!

  1. I love this post and picture! I hope you keep making wonderful friends. (Also, feel free to let me know if I speak too quickly. My mom is from New York, and sometimes we do get very speedy...!)

  2. I bet it was hard for you coming over to the US. Having to leave your family and friends had to be very difficult. It seems like you have been able to adjust to the culture very well and make some good friends. I hope you continue to make new friends and enjoy it here in the US. If you ever have any questions about anything, always ask and someone will be willing to help you. We are glad you are here in the US with us.
