The first time I went to the supermarket here in the US everything was different from Brazil. I struggled to buy few things, we did not find some things that I used to eat in Brazil and I tried to eat as healthy as possible. Down below I posted a picture of my first supermarket day, it is just a few things, but I spent a lot of time in the supermarket trying to find those. Everything is new for me, so every time that I went to the supermarket I spent at least thirty minutes there, even if it was just to buy some soda. One thing that I liked about the supermarket here is that they have a lot of things, you can choose from a variety of brands. But this is it, now, after two months I do not need to spend thirty minutes every time I go to the supermarket!!!

Post #2 My first steps in the US

I arrived in the United States in NY, my plane landed at JFK, but I would have to go to LaGuardia Airport to get my flight to Asheville. It was nice, I could discover a little part of NY and ride the subway for the first time in my life. However, it was my first time here in the US, I did not know that I would have to use coins to buy the bus ticket and they were not accepting my credit card. I was nervous, but a guy helped me to change my money and I could go to my flight connection. I wanted to tell this story because I was searching for information related to the shuttle between JFK to LaGuardia, and with this, I hope that I can help if anyone has doubts regarding this aspect.

Post #1: My first foods in the US

My first meal in the US was on the plane. However, I was not able to take a picture of it. A fun fact about it is that I did not understand what the guy said, so I ordered food without knowing what I would eat.

My second meal was at the JFK Airport it was a cheese sandwich and a coffee at Dunkin Donuts. At first, I was impressed with the size of the coffee, I was not adapted to drink this amount of coffee in Brazil. The same happened with this order, I tried to speak, but the woman did not understand what I ordered.

My third, and my favorite one, was at Shake Shack, I loved the hamburger that they have over there, and the french fries are amazing!
